Try Vietnamese Coconut Coffee, Recipe Inside

3 min read

Simply put, coconut coffee is coffee with a coconut flavour. In other words, coconut milk flavours the coffee while it still serves as the primary flavour. This coconut coffee, which combines rich, flavorful coconut milk with the usual coffee scent, will surely captivate you.

Coconut milk is one of the frequently utilised components in food processing and beverage preparation in Vietnam. Coconut milk can be found in stewed foods, cooked foods, desserts, beverages, etc. Coconut coffee has an enticingly excellent flavour thanks to the uncommon pairing of two ingredients. Now, it’s simple to find this coffee in beverage stores. However, by knowing how to prepare and create it at home, you can enjoy it whenever and anywhere you like. It’s also a good idea to occasionally serve it to your family members.

Let’s make one at home

Ingredients:

Coffee powder

Coconut milk

Condensed milk

Dried coconut

Ice cubes

Method:

Simply use the automatic coffee maker and push the button to make 30ml of espresso. All you have to do is wait for a shot of regular espresso. You can make coffee with the filter if you don’t have a machine: Add coffee powder to the filter, then fill it with around 30ml of hot water and cover it.

However, it should be emphasised that espresso plays a crucial part in producing a cup of traditional Vietnamese coconut coffee. People frequently utilise commercial coffee makers that are appropriate for cafes. Investing in an automatic coffee maker is a smart move if you make it at home. You can also use coffee that has been filtered, but the flavour won’t be as potent and the taste won’t be exactly like the original.

By blending, you can make coconut coffee. It involves using a blender to combine beverages. Prior to adding any other ingredients, put the ice to the blender. According to a warning, you should break the ice first if the blender’s blade is dull. The quality of the cup of coconut coffee will improve with a sharper blade, though, as it will be finer. You should measure the ice in the glass that will later hold the prepared coffee in order to achieve the proper amount and prevent the mix from being either too watery or too thick. For one cup of coconut coffee, one cup’s worth of ice should be used. Grated coconut and boiling water can be used in place of canned coconut milk. It is challenging for you to modify this to your preferred flavour because it is highly manual and the quality of the mixture depends on a variety of factors.

Blend the ice with 40ml of condensed milk and 60ml of coconut milk. Slowly increase the speed of the grinding until the materials are combined with snow-like smoothness, then stop the machine.

Pour 30 ml of the freshly brewed coffee mixture into a shaker. Since the main goal of shaking is to produce bubbles, you can pour it into any bottle if you don’t have a special shaker. Shake the coffee, then pour it into a glass cup. Pour the coconut mixture into a cup of coffee gradually and top with a few dry coconut pieces for garnish.
