Hello all! The Courier Journal Wine & Food Experience is this weekend kicking off a fall of wonderful events. Here’s your guide if you have a ticket to the sold-out event.

A go-to fall recipe — It’s time to welcome fall with fall flavors in your kitchen. This is contributing writer Dana McMahan’s go-to early fall recipe: a yummy butternut squash lasagna. Bon Appetit!

A South African coffee shop — Rob and Stella Mountain are from South Africa, and now they run a coffee shop in Louisville with several locations and more on the way. They serve African coffees and bags of coffee, African food products and popular foods like sausage rolls, meat pies and chicken-mayo sandwiches.

Pizzaville expansion — A mom-and-pop pizza place is expanding into the suite nextdoor at Westport Plaza. Pizzaville serves handtossed New York-style pizza and will add 1,700 square feet and red-and-white checkered tables to its offerings.
